Rape accused in custody

A 35-year-old man arrested in connection with the alleged rape of his 20-month-old child briefly appeared in the KaBokweni Magistrate’s Court on June 23 .

He was remanded in custody and the matter postponed to July 2 for further investigation.

Mpumalanga police spokesperson, Brig Leonard Hlathi, said, “We are happy that he was reminded in custody”.
