We are from Middelburg, so we don’t know the White River Police Station or the policemen there, and now we are being accused of being corrupt.

I overtook him (Barend Byliefeldt) and he did not check his mirror, so he was surprised when I passed him. When I was passing him, he showed me two middle fingers. I just ignored it. But then he (Byliefeldt) flashed his car’s lights, which I thought meant he wanted me to stop. I stopped my car and got out. He closed his window. He started swearing at us, saying “You f ***** g baboon”. He called us k ***** s and said we are stealing government money. He was flashing his car lights at me so that I would stop. And then when I did, he said I was blocking him. As I was walking to him, he reversed into one of my friend’s cars and overtook the other.

After they smashed into the car, we chased him to the police station. We did not know where he was going, but we were happy that he went to the station, because then we could open a case of malicious damage to property. When we got to the police station, the SAPS calmed everyone down. The police said we could not touch him (Byliefeldt) and put him in a separate room.

After an hour, he ran out of the police station and went to my guys and said we were baboons and so on. He said he was going to call the farmers and they were going to come and shoot us. That is when the guys wanted to get the phone from him because it had the photos on it of what he had done to our cars. He also started insulting the police. Even his wife told him to calm down.

We then opened a case of malicious damage to property and the SAPS asked all the other people to leave the station.

We did not try to hurt him. In the video clip you can see the one guy trying to kick him and another one telling him not to.

We also want to open a case of defamation of character and a case of racism.

He started pushing around the police and insulting them. I think the guy felt jealous of the Range

Rover and that is why he damaged it. There were no guns around us. We are not scared, because we have done nothing wrong. MAMRA Security Solutions and VIP Protection is new, so we are still busy with applications such as to PSIRA. But we were not there as a security company, we were returning from a funeral. We were just friends hanging out. I just happened to be driving the branded car. We were there in our private capacity.

There is the court of law where the truth will come out. They are going to be very embarrassed. I did not even take out my gun. I would never point a gun at someone and his wife. What kind of person would do that?
