Mrs Mpumalanga 2021 visits Kiddos Academy

- Bridget Mpande

MBOMBELA - It was a fairy tale come true for Kiddos Academy Preschool’s little ones when Mrs Mpumalanga, Ntombi Ngobese, paid them a visit.

Grace Jacobs of Kiddos Academy said it was a joyful moment for the kids to see a real-life queen. “We tell them a lot of stories about kings, queens, princes and princesses. To them Mrs Mpumalanga is an idol, especially for the little girls. Almost all of them want to be a princess or a queen. To them she is like a Barbie doll and they had an amazing moment.”

The 35-year-old engineering technologist did not visit the school empty-handed.

She gave the kids five rules to remember and some treats.

“Remember to be kind and courageous. Do not bully one another. If someone hits you, do not hit back, report them to the teacher. Keep smiling and have fun. Lastly do not fear anyone on earth, only fear God. What you can give to people is respect,” she said.

Jacques Lombard, owner and director of Mrs Mpumalanga and Provincial Mpumalanga MS, said, “After Jacobs told us how much the kids look up to queens, princes and princesses we saw fit to visit the school. Our aim was to make their fairy tale come true,” he said.

Jacobs said they are glad to see that charity is close to Ngobese’s heart. “She wants to serve the community and has time for kids. We would like to thank

Mrs Mpumalanga for visiting our preschool,” she explained.

After spending time with the beauty queen, the kids sang and danced for her.
