Driekoppies will determine Bass Trail’s new log

After a challenging third leg of the Lowveld Bass Trail at Vygeboom, anglers will this weekend head to the land of giants Driekoppies Dam.

With five legs of the competition remaining and only about six points separating the top seven teams, it is still anybody's game. Anglers will, however, have their eyes fixed to the current log leaders, Team Bass Wizzard.

Driekoppies is known to produce fish of more than five kilograms, with an abundance of fish weighing two to four kilograms roaming the vast expanses of this prime Lowveld dam.

With the water level at 100 per cent and vegetation newly flooded, it will be interesting to see how the fish react and what the teams come up with to outsmart them.

There were mixed reports on the pre-fish and some serious weather is predicted for the day.
