MBOMBELA - The two victims of recent tyre spiking incidents within the City of Mbombela insisted that reporting it to the police would not yield any results.

Marieta van Schalkwyk, who narrowly escaped harm on the N4 off-ramp near

Halls, said limited evidence of their possible attackers would not assist the police in any way.

The women are not able to identify any of the suspects and are adamant that they would not pursue the matter any further

Aimee van der Watt, who had the same experience on the R538 near the Sasol filling station, echoed Van Schalkwyk’s sentiments and said reporting it would be a waste of time and state resources.

The women are not able to identify any of the suspects and are adamant that they would not pursue the matter any further as they do not even have registration numbers of any of the two vehicles that had followed them after the spiking that they assumed to have been the suspects.

There are no reports of tyre spiking within Mbombela.
