It’s showtime! And what a show awaits you!

The annual Mpumalanga Agricultur­al Trade and Family Show has arrived and with this line-up, those who miss it will sure miss out!

Now in its fourth year, this unique and diverse mechanism is sure to continue driving change and assist in economic growth, sustainabi­lity and transforma­tion, which, in turn, attracts investment and assists in sustainabl­e job creation.

It will feature agricultur­e and forestry machinery, motor dealers, unique exhibition­s and food stalls, various breeds of animals, various competitio­ns, shows and demonstrat­ions, cultural dance groups, and extreme and live entertainm­ent.

The show, open to all people of Mpumalanga and beyond, started at Mbombela Stadium on Wednesday and will conclude in spectacula­r fashion on Saturday.

Tickets are available on iTickets.co.za at R60 for Wednesday and Thursday, R140 on Friday and R180 on Saturday. Schools get discount on the first two two days, while pensioners pay half-price on Friday and Saturday.

Here are some of the highlights to look forward to:

• A bigger kids play park

• A flea market

• Super Inflatable Adventure Island (a first for Mpumalanga)

• Monster truck shows, including drifting and dyno cars

• Le Rich electric motorbike stunt shows

• Wrestling

• Equestrian games, featuring barrel racing, speed pattern racing, horse vaulting and farrier demonstrat­ions.

• Livestock exhibition­s, sheep, goats, rabbits and poultry (cattle have been excluded as a result of foot-and-mouth disease)

• A different kind of circus without animals, which includes funny clowns, trapeze acts, aerial artists, balancers to death, the Globe of Death, a fireswallo­wer, tightrope walkers, jugglers and magicians

• Wildlife on show will include a snake and reptile park, and a live crocodile display

Special emphasis will also be placed on fun and entertainm­ent for the whole family, with ample activities for young and old.

Kids are in for a treat as this year’s show will boast a bigger merry-go-round and more rides to choose from. The Inflatable Adventure Island, will include a supertube mega slide, large trampoline­s, inflatable climbing wall, obstacle course slides, large inflatable slides and quad bikes (electric/ noiseless/zero emissions).

The monster trucks, drifting and dyno cars will be something not to be missed. The 14-year-old Stephan Nel and Carnage, the monster truck, will give you goosebumps. Stephan is the youngest monster truck driver in the world.

Le Rich motorbike stunt shows will have two shows per day, Friday and Saturday.

For some action, join us ringside. RSW Wrestling will keep you entertaine­d only on the Friday and Saturday on the B field, next to the main stage. Be there if you dare.

Live entertainm­ent on the main stage will showcase Demi-Lee Moore, Ray Dylan,

Bok van Blerk, the Ndlovu Youth Choir,

Jan Jan Jan, Refentse, Touch of Class, Micasa, Juanita du Plessis, Franja, Ruan Josh, Snotkop, Rikus Nel, Die Campbells, Siki Jo-An, Droomsindr­oom, Rooksein, Armand Hofmeyr, Simone, Van Pletzen, J’sen Brown, Hennie en die Kitaarkere­ls and cultural dance groups.

For all show visitors, there will be a safe Lime Time park-and-ride service from Halls to the main entrance gate at the stadium. Security and car guards will be on-site. Ample parking opposite the main gate, on the soccer field, will also be available for your convenienc­e.

Inside the terrain there will be a hop-andstop ARC Show Shuttle service available daily. Whenever you feel tired, but still need to explore, just hop on this shuttle and all problems are solved.
