- Chelsea Pieterse

Lowvelders came out in their numbers recently to support the annual Woof Stock event that raised over R38 000 for Pro-Life Pet Rescue.

Dressed in their best hippy attire, over

200 people visited The Pub for the event.

Organised by Monique O’Reilly,

Mrs Mpumalanga 1st Runner-up 2022, Woof Stock was a great success. She said the event raised a total of R38 724 and collected 295kg of dog food, all for Pro-Life.

“We had eight bands playing throughout the event. Six were local ones, which the people really enjoyed. The South African band LA Cobra and musician Riaan van Rensburg also performed and the crowd loved them,” she said.

Show-goers had the chance to win a host of wonderful lucky draw prizes sponsored by various businesses of the Lowveld, as well as by Marshall Music.

“We are already making plans for Woof Stock 2023,” O’Reilly said.
