Myetsi Crafts

When it comes to buying unique and personalised gifts for loved ones, look no further than Renske Briel and her custom-made arts and crafts business, Myetsi Crafts.

Briel’s unique and creative gifts are made from polymer clay and include sure-bet winners like her Zoo Biscuit keyholders, personalised coffee cups, family picture frames and a variety of must-have spoons.

The delightful products are made with polymer clay, which is then oven-baked and finally given a beautiful and colourful glaze finish.

Having started as an arts and crafts hobbyist, Briel soon discovered her creations were so popular that she decided to start Myetsi Crafts in January 2022. The name “myetsi” means something small and “just because”. “After gifting to all my friends, I decided to start selling my art to provide others with unique, customised gifts to suit their personal requirements,” she said.

Briel also offers workshops for people who would like to learn to work with polymer clay.

“In the workshops, we cover conditioning the clay, tools, hints and tips, baking instructions and finishing off the product. We also work with silkscreens on the clay, which allows for personalised designs,” she said.

“I also sell the clay cutters, which look like mini cookie cutters, as well as the silk screens.”

Myetsi Crafts is doing so well that this White River entrepreneur is starting to courier her beautiful and quirky products to customers anywhere in South Africa. “I love enriching peoples' lives with my personalised gifts,” she said.
