Curro Nelspruit’s choir festival brings joy to many

- Linzetta Calitz

MBOMBELA - Young voices come together as Curro Nelspruit hosted its second choir festival last week.

The festival took place over the course of two evenings, with Curro’s three choirs and Uplands’ choir performing on October 11.

For the second day, Curro’s three choirs were joined by Lowveld High’s choir.

Uplands’ choir conductor, Bongani Mavundla, conducted a mass choir performance at the end of the second evening.

Alta Ehrke and Mavundla were the organisers of the evening.

Ehrke said the event has grown since the first one was hosted last year, and they plan on growing it even more for 2023.

“We would like to make this an annual event as a kind of Lowveld end-of-year choir performance,” she said.

If schools would like to take part, contact her at alta.t01@curro.co.za.
