MBOMBELA - Hi-Tech Security Nelspruit is mourning the loss of one of its guards, Josiah Nkosi, who died while on his way home from night shift duty on the morning of October 21.

Nkosi (54) had been working at a site in the Riverside area and had caught a bus to the Promenade Shopping Centre on his journey home, when he began to feel unwell.

The managing director of Hi-Tech Security, Frank Swanepoel, said Nkosi had called the Hi-Tech control room and said he was not feeling well and thought he was dying.

“We had someone rush to the scene, but unfortunately it was too late. Josiah had already passed away,” said Swanepoel.

Nkosi was diabetic and had died from natural causes, according to his death certificate.

“Josiah had been working for Hi-Tech for two years. He was liked by everyone who knew him and was a hard-working and dedicated man.

“Hi-Tech is deeply saddened by this loss. We want to send our sincere condolences to his family and friends. He will be remembered fondly and missed terribly by the Hi-Tech family,” Swanepoel said.

Nkosi will be laid to rest by his family and friends this Saturday, October 29, in the Newscom area of KaBokweni.
