Mzansi Ballet brings the magic of Cinderella to Mbombela

- Chelsea Pieterse

MBOMBELA - The Lowveld was treated to the magical Mzansi Ballet’s The ABBA Show - A Cinderella Story on Friday evening at Curro’s Sycamore Theatre, delighting and exciting audience members young and old.

With an ample dose of sparkling sequins, bright and colourful costumes, and a fabulously sassy Fairy Godmother, Mzansi Ballet’s spectacularly talented dancers put on a performance to be remembered by Lowvelders for years to come.

The audience members were encouraged to attend the show in their very best

ABBA get-up.

Mzansi Ballet's description of the wonderous show is that it is a modern retelling of the classic tale of Cinderella, set to the timeless music of ABBA and innovative and hip choreography by Angela Revie and Michael Revie, with out-of-thisworld costumes and sets designed by fashion designer extraordinaire, David Hutt.

“No Mzansi Ballet show is complete without a cast of world-class dancers such as Angela Revie, Aviwe November, Veronica Louw, Marlon Frometa Ballester (National Ballet of Cuba), Shana Dewey (former dancer with Joburg Ballet), Javier Monier Jouve and Joshua Williams, among others.”
