Grove SUPERSPAR gives to underprivileged girls

-

MBOMBELA - From our tree to yours, The Grove SUPERSPAR is encouraging customers to help give back to those in need by purchasing a limited edition and beautifully handcrafted Christmas ornament in store.

It only costs R50 and all funds raised will be matched by The Grove SUPERSPAR and donated to the Sesi Lomkhulu Foundation.

This initiative is a wonderful campaign that brings people together through the joy of giving and sharing with those who are not fortunate enough to celebrate Christmas.

‘Do not miss out on collecting all six ornament designs for your joyous Christmas tree this festive season’

Sesi Lomkhulu, which means “big sister”, is a foundation founded by Anthea Samuels-Ngubane, who said she saw the challenges underprivileged girls face daily, and she wanted to bring hope and change to their lives. Their vision is to kindle the true potential in all girls by providing them with a platform to seize opportunities and in turn, they will become Sesi Lomkhulus in their community. Anthea says initiatives like these have been helpful for them to continue to achieve their purpose to assist with toiletries, stationery, school uniforms, mentorship and guidance to young girls from challenging backgrounds or communities.

The Sesi Lomkhulu Foundation team meets every second week, mostly on Friday afternoons. “The juniors meet at 14:00 and the seniors at 15:30. In addition to the scheduled meetings, we also have gatherings when we are running workshops, holiday programmes or when we have a guest speaker to address the girls.”

While stocks last, do not miss out on collecting all six ornament designs for your joyous Christmas tree this festive season, from November 1 until December 30.
