Canines, felines and humans spoilt at Pro-Life’s birthday

- Linzetta Calitz

MBOMBELA - In the business of animal protection, what better way is there to celebrate your birthday than to spoil the four-legged souls you protect?

Pro-Life Pet Rescue, Rehabilitation and Adoption Agency marked its 11th birthday on Saturday, doing exactly that.

Those in attendance got the chance to take a rescued dog on a 1.2km fun walk, giving the animals some much-deserved love and attention.

Those who did not feel up to the walking could also visit and spoil the cats, kittens and puppies.

Besides the animals to be spoilt, there were also stalls to buy from and foods to snack on.

The chairperson of Pro-Life, Leigh-Ann Auerswald, said although the day was not as well supported as it had been last year, it was well supported nevertheless.

The organisation thanked everyone who attended the day and made it a success. It also said a special thanks to all the sponsors involved. Various businesses sponsored anything from umbrellas, benches and entertainment areas to food, hampers and vouchers.
