MOTH pays tribute to the brave fallen of WWI
The Memorable Order of Tin Hats (MOTH) Lone Tree Shellhole in Barberton held its Shadow Parade, as it does every year, on November 12, in memory and honour of those who had fought bravely and died during WWI, 104 years ago.
The remembrance started with prayers, then laying down of wreaths. The parade was graced by several civilians as well as members of both the Moth Motorcycle Association (MMA) and the Moths in attendance.
Remebrance Day is traditionally held in November on the second Sunday, closest to Armistice Day, which marks the ceasefire that put an end to all hostilities of WWI at 11:00 on November 11, 1918.
