This is where your much-needed donations go

MBOMBELA - November 18 saw the SPCA making its way to Matsafeni for one of many outreach initiatives.

It considers this to be proactive work; an attempt to avoid having to react to situations in which animals are in distress.

“We educated owners to take proper care of their animals. There are many animals without proper species-specific food, fresh, clean water and comfortable resting areas. Our education activities focus on explaining the five freedoms of animals.

“We supplied food, bedding, bowls and water. We also treat the animals for internal and external parasites.”

In some instances, the organisation even built shelters.

It continued these efforts on Monday and asked the public for blanket, bowl and shade net donations towards these.

“If you can help, please drop them off at our kennels. Thank you to all who have already donated to enable us to help these animals.”
