WHY I USED IT

After many years of making empty promises about shedding those extra kilos, this year I finally did it. I adjusted my diet, started cycling and lost 25kg in the process. As I got deeper into my health journey, I became more curious about being healthy inside and out. That’s where my curiosity with CBD started.

I’d read somewhere it targets multiple areas of the brain and body and has the potential to ease pain and help treat anxiety.

WHAT I THOUGHT

I started with 2ml to see if it would make any difference to my anxiety. It has a peppermint aftertaste, which I enjoyed. Having experience­d no remarkable results at first, I upped my dosage to 4ml.

My stress didn’t disappear, but I found I didn’t get worked up as easily.

I managed day-to-day jobs without feeling as if I’m drowning in a sea of uncomplete­d tasks. But that’s not the selling point for me. On the third morning I didn’t snooze my alarm 10 times like I usually do. I realised I’d slept better and woke up feeling refreshed.

During winter I always struggle with dry skin, so I was keen to try the body lotion. I even used it as a face cream. It has a fresh scent to it, but I found it didn’t absorb very well and felt a bit sticky.

I know it’s not a face cream, but I wanted to see if it could tackle the dry areas around my eyes and nose. It did. After one week my skin felt more supple and I had a glow.

Are these miracle products? Nothing really is. But with a healthy diet, lots of greens and an exercise programme I found they benefited me.
