CENTRAL FLYING ACADEMY PURCHASES AN ALSIM ALX

-

CFA has the pleasure to announce the purchase of an Alsim ALX state of the art simulator, located at Rand Airport (FAGM) Germiston, South Africa. The device, which will support their PPL, CPL, MCC, RNAV and IR offering.

This will be extended to light jet and medium jet orientation training. The certification of the simulator has now been completed in all but the light and medium jet orientation offerings.

CFA had their eye on an ALX for some time, since they had been introduced to the Alsim ALX at Oshkosh in the USA in 2017, by other flight training schools and it was fully endorsed by existing clients.

The ALSIM ALX simulator offers up to four classes of aircraft: from single engine piston, twin engine piston, twin turbine up to medium category twin jet (generic B737/A320). Designed and approved for ATPL, CPL/MCC, JOC and their pilot requirements, the ALX offers advanced technology simulation equipment tailored to your training needs. In addition, the ALX simulator has a proven track record for cost-effectiveness and helps save numerous aircraft hours. Ian Stevens, Central Flying Academy’s CEO, explains why their school finally selected Alsim’s simulator: “We selected this simulator because it answered all our needs and then some more.

We see the EASA/FAA-compliant ALX as a perfect fit as it is an extension of the professional standards set by our training academy. Alsim, which is internationally recognised, has a large R&D department and are certain to remain at the forefront of the flight simulator market.

Training and support are top notch and down time, if any, will be minor as all parts and components are manufactured by Alsim and is not dependant on 3rd parties.” He adds: “We eagerly await the launch and invite the aviation industry to visit our new installation.”
