DR STAN TENZER AVIATION MEDICAL CENTRE

A new Aviation Medical Centre opened at Rand Airport in March 2018 offering the full scope of medical services.

The Centre is run by Dr Stan Tenzer, a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner who offers the following:

• Class I – Commercial and Airline Pilots

• Class II – Student, cabin crew and private pilots

• Class III – Air Traffic Controllers and assistants

• Class IV – Recreational, glider and balloon pilots

Dr Tenzer has been in private medical practice since 1986 in the Johannesburg CBD offering full medical services such as: aviation medicals, medical boarding consultations and liaison with the relevant underwriter, treatment of work injuries (IOD), treatment of chronic and acute conditions, influenza vaccine inoculation, dispensing of chronic and acute medication (licensed), executive medicals, skipper medicals and a mobile clinic.

Dr Tenzer holds the following degrees and certifications:

• Qualified OHMP (Occupational Health Medical Practitioner)

• Senior Designated Aviation Medical Examiner

• Diploma of Anesthetics from the College of Medicine (SA).

• Affiliated and an honorary lecturer at Wits Medical School.

• Medical Examination of Professional Drivers.

The new Aviation Medical Centre is conveniently located at the Rand Airport opposite the Main Terminal Building. Medicals and consultations are by appointment are essential.
