The Gulfstream G280
Offering the longest range with the best fuel efficiency in its class, the G280 is powered by twin Honeywell HTF7250G engines, can accommodate up to 10 passengers and can travel 3,600 nm / 6,667 km with four passengers at Mach 0.80. Its maximum operating speed is Mach 0.85. The aircraft offers excellent take-off and landing performance, requiring just 4,750 feet / 1,448 m balanced field length at maximum take-off weight and just 3,180 feet / 969 m at maximum landing weight. With an initial cruise altitude of 43,000 feet / 13,106 m, the aircraft can climb to a maximum altitude of 45,000 feet / 13,716 m to avoid traffic congestion and weather. The G280 is equipped with the most advanced flight deck in its class: the PlaneView280 featuring Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion avionics. The aircraft was announced on 5 October 2008, rolled out on 6 October 2009 and flew for the first time on 11 December 2009. The aircraft earned its type certificate from the FAA on 30 August 2012 and EASA on 7 February 2013. The first G280 entered service on 14 November 2012.
