APCO has in house full capacity to do all the required work on Lycoming and Continental Engines to provide its customers the turnkey service required. APCO does in house Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), machine shop, component division, engine hose shop, aluminium welding, cadmium plating facility for Lycoming and Continental hardware, engine division, bench testing of engines and their components and now also has a full NTC engine shop able to repair and overhaul Gypsy and NTC Lycoming and Superior Kit Engines and will soon be supporting other engine makes.
On request, various mods or STCs can be carried out in house. On NTCA engines balancing and porting is offered as an optional, as well as different types of corrosion protective applications, ranging from polyurethane base paints to the more lavish and durable ceramic coatings. The personnel are qualified and have had the appropriate training either local or at the factory / manufacturer. APCO is also an approved MT Governor Service Station.

Based at Wonderboom National Airport, Avtech Aircraft Services is a General Aviation aircraft maintenance service provider that is professional, friendly and efficient. Avtech maintains Beechcraft, Piper, Cessna, Bellanca and Aerostar aircraft. The company was started by Riekert Ströh (Snr) in 1990 and is a family owned and run business. The AMO has been maintaining aircraft to exceptional standards ever since, still under the expert guidance of Riekert (Snr).
Riekert began working as an aircraft engineer with Comair in 1972 where he worked for 10 years before moving to Transvaal Aircraft Maintenance where he worked for a further eight years. He was joined by his son Riekert ( Jnr) in 1999. The Avtech team offers a valuable service based on over 170 years of collective experience and expertise, between just four people. Avtech are therefore the wise first stop for all your general aircraft maintenance requirements. Avtech also boasts its very own component shop, Avtech Aviation Components, which specialises in the overhaul and repairs of continental fuel systems, carburettors and constant speed units which include Woodward, McCauley, Hartzell and PCU5000. This division is run by Andre Botha who has many years’ experience in his field. The company is now approved for the overhaul and Repairs on Bendix Fuel Systems.
