Avanti P.180 EVO
Piaggio Aerospace maintains his role as a global player in business aviation thanks to the third generation of aviation excellence. In service since 2015, the Avanti EVO’s distinctive three-lifting surface configurations work together to give Avanti EVO its unique aerodynamic performance in class. Innovative five-blade scimitar propellers by Hartzell and the combining the lavish made in Italy style, meticulous attention to details and ground-breaking aviation technology, Avanti EVO offers fast climbing performance, classleading fuel economy and a custom-made cabin able to meet the most exacting standards.
Instant response from rugged turboprop engines help the EVO fly higher, faster-climbing to a ceiling of 41,000 feet to take full advantage of a smooth ride out above the weather. Laminar flow from nose to tail is achieved via a single aerodynamic curve that reduces drag and raises performance by around 34% compared to conventional designs. Driven by two Pratt & Witney PT6A-66B engines, it reaches a speed of 400 knots (740 km/h) and with a range of over 1700 nautical miles, it is ideal for any continental destination. The Avanti’s ability to land on short or even semi-prepared runways allows access to peripheral airports and small airfields not served by commercial flights. The shape of Avanti EVO aids huge fuel savings and lower emissions compared to aircraft in the same class. It is one of the most environmentally friendly aircraft on the market, burning 40% less fuel than similar-size jets.
Avanti EVO is able to carry up to eight passengers. The stand-up cabin height of 5 ft. 9 in. (1.75m) is the tallest in its class, while the width of 6 feet is also superior to many comparable aircraft. This provides the EVO with the most space per seat in class. Reduced propeller noise and positioning of the engines at the rear make the cabin quiet, providing the deserved comfort to the passengers.
The benefits of owing an Avanti EVO are considerable. As well as flying one of the most efficient aircraft in the skies, Piaggio Aerospace’s expansive customer support and service network minimises downtime while also keeping costs under control through an innovative fixed-fee programme. Presently 213 P.180 Avanti aircraft are in service worldwide. Recently, nine new Avanti EVOs were ordered by the Italian Ministry of Defence for passenger transport and flight inspections.
