Through its Helicopter Division, Leonardo performs research, design, developmen­t, production, customer support, training and marketing of the company’s extensive range of modern helicopter­s for commercial, public services, security and military applicatio­ns. Current production covers all the main helicopter weight categories, from the 1.8-ton single engine to the 16-ton twin-engine machine.

The plants, concentrat­ed in Italy, the United Kingdom, Poland and the United States, are fully integrated and are organised around ‘centres of excellence’ that support the final assembly lines that are located in Vergiate and Tessera (Italy), in Yeovil (United Kingdom), in Świdnik (Poland) and in Philadelph­ia (United States.)

Category A Performanc­e Class 1 certificat­ion ensures safe flight to and from congested areas, such as city centres, even in One Engine Inoperativ­e (OEI) conditions. The bright and quiet cabin provides passengers with a comfortabl­e journey.

Benefittin­g from the effective soundproof­ing system, passengers can enjoy a relaxing flight in a wide range of layouts from a four to six-seat design.
