BAT HAWK AIRCRAFT

-

Based just outside of Nelspruit, Mpumalanga, Micro Aviation SA (SACAA M-628) is the manufacturer of the very popular lowcost Rotax 912 ULS powered Bat Hawk light surveillance aircraft that is Part 24 Type approved by the SACAA. There are over 165 Bat Hawks flying around the world. Most of which are in Africa. The factory facility has a 650-meter airstrip and three large hangars. One of which is used to build the Bat Hawk aircraft range.

The Bat Hawk has proved to be an integral part of the modern-day anti-poaching and aerial surveillance unit. Game reserves from all over Africa have proved the Bat Hawk to be indispensable in the day to day management of the park by section rangers and anti-poaching units. The Bat Hawk’s propeller is up and out of the way of sticks, stones ant hills and grass. This is a key and critical characteristic for an Africanised ‘bush’ plane. It allows one to truly land on unprepared surfaces when required. This aircraft is perfectly suited for African conditions.

Main benefits are: Manufactured in Africa with the finest out of cockpit visibility of any similar Light Sport Aircraft in the world. Powered by the reliable the Rotax 912 ULS engine with the fuel tank situated low down behind the seats. One of the easiest LSA types to fly on the market with great STOL capabilities. It is easy to repair with unrivalled fleet support available in Africa. A militarised version of the Bat Hawk (Strike Hawk) has hard / camera points as well as bullet proofed seats available.
