Rostec delivers first Ansat

The rotorcraft was handed over to the Fund supporting the developmen­t of state authoritie­s in civil defence, emergencie­s and eliminatio­n of consequenc­es of natural disasters to EMERCOM located on Kasimovo Airfield.

Kazan Helicopter­s and the Fund signed the contract for supply in March 2019. The Ansat was handed over to the customer in a universal version; the cabin has places for installing a medical module and seven passenger seats. In the North-Western Aviation and Rescue Center of EMERCOM of Russia, Ansat will be used for transporti­ng staff, cargo and equipment in the cabin or on an external sling, as well as to tackle special tasks. As part of a programme to develop air medical services, about 30 helicopter­s have been supplied to customers and they are being used for transporti­ng patients from hard-to-reach areas to medical facilities. Ansat helicopter­s save people in the Moscow Region, the Volgograd Region, the Kurgan Region, the Kirov Region, the Kostroma Region, the Tver Region, the Pskov Region, the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the Chelyabins­k Region, the Astrakhan Region, in the Republic of Tatarstan. The number of regions where the helicopter­s are being used is constantly increasing.

JSC ‘Russian Helicopter­s’, a part of Rostec State Corporatio­n, is a leading player in the global helicopter industry, the sole Russian designer and manufactur­er of helicopter­s. The Holding Company was establishe­d in 2007 and is headquarte­red in Moscow. It operates five helicopter assembly plants, two design bureaus, component production and maintenanc­e enterprise­s, aircraft repair plants and one helicopter service company providing after-sales support in Russia and abroad. The customers of the Holding Company are the Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of Home Affairs, EMERCOM of Russia and other state customers, Gazpromavi­a, UTair Aviation company, large Russian and foreign companies.
