DASSAULT FALCON BUSINESS JETS

-

Dassault Aviation is a French aerospace company with proven dual expertise as a manufacturer of both military aircraft and business jets. Creator of more than 100 prototypes in the last century, with over 10,000 aircraft delivered to 90 countries. The Dassault Falcon is a family of business jets, manufactured by Dassault Aviation.

Falcon 200 series

A model of unmatched performance flexibility and comfort. More than 550 Falcon 2000 series aircraft are in service today. Robust, ultra-cost-effective and super capable, this is one of the most popular and successful Falcons ever. Each iteration has built on the platform’s many significant strengths and today you will find them optimized in the Falcon 2000LXS. The Falcon 2000LXS is a widebody aircraft offering 4,000 nm (7,410 km) range, unrivalled efficiency, and the ability to access short and challenging runways other jets run away from. Designed to please even the most demanding of world travellers, it also offers exceptional mission flexibility, allowing you to hop between cities, cross continents, span oceans and optimise your own capability to achieve more.

Falcon 2000S

Optimised balance of performance and economy, the Falcon 2000 is one of the most popular and successful Falcons ever. Then we optimised its strengths to create the Falcon 2000S. A perfect balance of performance and economy, the 2000S satisfies all the requirements of a modern business jet at a significantly lower cost. This aircraft is powerful and efficient, with an impressive cabin and an impressively lower cost of operation. With redesigned wings, enhanced engines, an advanced cockpit and improved maintenance features, the 2000S will save you money without ssacrificing the many qualities Falcon owners prize. A business jet for those who have wanted a full-size Falcon at a midsize price, the 3,350 nm (6,200 km) Falcon 2000S is a bird of a different feather. It’s a big cabin jet without the big cabin costs, offering more aircraft at a cost of operation normally associated with smaller jets.

Falcon 6X

The largest cabin to take you farther. Consider these impressive facts and figures. Cabin height: six-feet, six-inches. Cabin width: eight feet, six inches. The Falcon 6X has the tallest, widest cabin in business aviation. Its 5,500nm range and top speed of Mach .90, can connect you to every major business center, while opening a wider world of comfort to passengers. The Falcon 6X features business aviation’s most advanced fly-by-wire system. Its engines, Pratt & Whitney Canada’s leading-edge, ultra-efficient PurePower® PW812D, are optimised for long-range, business jet missions. The cabin provides every comfort possible on twelve-hour flights, allowing you to walk off feeling your very best. The bottom-line benefit: a big plane for almost any mission.

From its inception, the Falcon 7X was destined to be a revolutionary aircraft, introducing business aviation to the industry’s first Digital Flight Control System. Like so many other aspects of the aircraft, its DFCS drew on Dassault’s 30 years of military experience, especially its Rafale and Mirage 2000 programs. The 7X would become the first business jet to use fighter jet technology with an elegant, whisper-quiet executive cabin.

Presently more than 270 Falcon 7X aircraft are in service in 41 countries. The fleet has performed some 550,000 flight hours and presents excellent dispatch reliability. A growing number of operators worldwide are discovering they need not compromise small-jet agility and efficiency for long-range comfort and capability. Now a mature and proven aircraft platform, the Falcon 7X is still the most advanced and still the business jet benchmark for the 21st century. From nose to tail, wingtip to wingtip, the Falcon 7X is pure elegance, efficiency and performance.

Falcon 8X

The flagship and the freedom to fly where you want, as you like. Stretching the boundaries of what can be achieved is a preoccupation that drives us. This means on-going innovation, enabling Dassault to deliver ever better, ever more capable Falcons. The latest result is the Falcon 8X. Its ultra-long range connects Hong Kong and Paris, London and Cape Town, Los Angeles and Beijing. Its cabin, the longest in the Falcon family provides more comfort and a stunning choice of more than 30 distinct layouts. Thanks to overall design enhancements, the 8X is every bit as fuel efficient as the Falcon 7X. The Falcon 8X continues Falcon traditions of efficiency, performance, flexibility and comfort, while saving millions in total life cycle costs versus any rival. Once again, we are stretching the boundaries of what a business jet can do for you, helping you accomplish more.

When designing the Falcon 8X, Dassault rethought all major structures and systems, adapting and optimising them into an integrated, efficient airframe. New internal wing architecture both lightens the wing structure and provides more room for fuel. New winglets reduce drag to boost efficiency. The fuselage houses more fuel without reducing passenger space. The landing gear has been reinforced to provide for additional payload.

Falcon 900 series

The latest in the immensely popular Falcon 900 series, this large cabin trijet stands alone in its class for performance, comfort and efficiency. Since its inception, more than 500 Falcon 900 aircraft have been delivered, each generation refining and building on the strengths of the previous, establishing an industry benchmark for longevity, durability, reliability and long-term value retention.

Apply the latest aerodynamic technology and advanced avionics to an already ultra-efficient trijet and you have an aircraft that will take you places its competitors cannot, like short runways and hot-and-high airports. You also gain range and efficiency. Compared with earlier Falcon 900s, the 900LX delivers a range of 4,750 nm (8,800 km) and consumes less fuel. While its ramp appeal is undeniable, the beauty of the 900LX’s trijet design enhances comfort and performance. In addition to allowing a large cabin within a compact fuselage, it lowers critical speeds for safer landings and superior short-field agility. It is more manoeuvrable on the tarmac, requires less hangar space and it provides greater peace of mind and more direct routing on long routes over water.

Falcon 6X first test flight

On 10 March 2021 Dassault Aviation’s widebody Falcon 6X has successfully completed its first flight demonstrating the maturity of the programme and opening the test campaign for certification. “Today’s flight is another milestone in Dassault history, made all the more satisfying by the remarkable efforts of the entire Dassault organisation and its partners over the challenging past year,” said Dassault Aviation Chairman / CEO Eric Trappier.

“The 6X is the latest example of the fusion of military know-how and business aviation expertise for which Dassault Aviation is so respected,” added Trappier. “The new capabilities in efficiency, performance and safety it offers will set a new benchmark in the long-range segment.

This airplane will also set a new standard in terms of cabin comfort and spaciousness, as demanded by our customers.”

With an intercontinental range of 5,500 nm, the aircraft will fly from London to Hong Kong or Los Angeles to Moscow nonstop. Featuring an advanced version of the digital flight control system first introduced on the Falcon 7X and further refined on the Falcon 8X. The aircraft is powered by Pratt & Whitney PW812D engines.
