ENSTROM TURBINE 480B
The Enstrom 480B was developed to US Army New Training Helicopter (NTH) requirements. This aircraft is known for its reputation for safety, stability, utility versatility through quick and easy reconfiguration, comfort and value. The 480B combines power and weight with light agility at the controls. The 480B already has an excellent reputation for safety and durability that has proven popular internationally as a turbine training helicopter. Enstrom 480Bs for the training market will include several new features designed specifically for this purpose. These include a custom dual instrument panel giving both the student and the instructor their own set of flight instruments although single instrument panel is easily visible and accessible by both the student and instructor. The aircraft will have a single or dual Aspen EFIS systems, Garmin avionics and a Cobham RT-7000 tactical communications radio. Already capable of advanced IFR training, the aircraft will be further equipped with NVIS cockpits for NVG flight training if required.
