SAFOMAR AVIATION MAINTENANCE

Recently SAM was successful in securing the maintenance contracts from both South African National Parks (SANParks) and the South African police Air Wing (SAPS) for the maintenance of Airbus A350b helicopters for the next five years. The SANParks fleet consists of four Airbus A350 Squirrels and the SAPS Air Wing fleet consists of 13 Airbus 350 Squirrels.

SAM is a SACAA approved facility (AMO 1338) with licenced, factory trained and experienced aircraft maintenance personnel who currently hold approvals for maintenance of various helicopter models. The combined specialist licenced helicopters mechanical engineers have more than 100 years of experience on a wide range of aircraft types.

Presently approved helicopter types are:

• Enstrom 280 FX/F28F/280C/F28C and 480B

• Airbus AS350, EC 120, EC130, BO105

Soon Safomar Aviation will add the Leonardo AW-09 as well as Sikorsky helicopters series as well as the military Blackhawk helicopter to its portfolio. Safomar Aviation represents and distributes Enstrom helicopters including helicopter sales, parts distribution, as well as factory repairs and overhaul of components. Safomar also offers helicopter balancing and tracking services using the latest state of the art advanced Helitune system. This service can be provided away from base maintenance support and helicopter hangar parking thereby ensuring complete customer service.
