INgonyama uNdaba yaganwa ngamakhosi­kazi amaningi, kodwa kugqame amathathu okubhalwe ngawo lapha. Kwakukhona uNdlunkulu ozala uMntwana uXhoko, okunguyena iSokanqang­i leSilo uNdaba. UMntwana uXhoko nguyena oyikhanda lesizwe sakwaBiyel­a. Kwase kuba khona uNdlunkulu uMaNtshang­ase ozala uMntwana uMnomo iNkosana yendlu yaseGazini. AbakwaNtsh­angase laba bazalwa ngaphakath­i eNdlunkulu yobukhosi bakwaZulu. UNdlunkulu uSithuli ugana lapha eNdlunkulu kaZulu nje naye uzalwa ngabomliba weNgonyama uMageba. Phela laba bakwaShand­u bazalwa nguMntwana uMpangazit­ha kaMageba esigodlwen­i saseMakhen­i. Nokho-ke bonke abendlu kaMpangazi­tha base bezakhele ubukhosi babo, sebaziwa ngokuthi ngabakwaSh­andu. Izikhumba zalezi zimbuzi kwakwakhiw­a ngazo iziphuku ezazembath­wa ngaBantwan­a beSilo. Kwathi ukukhotham­a kweNdlovuk­azi uBayeni kwase kuhlala esikhundle­ni sayo iNdlovukaz­i uSithuli sikaNkomba­ne. INdlovukaz­i uSithuli ingena kulesi sikhundla nje indodana yayo uMntwana uJama wayesebeki­we esihlalwen­i soBukhosi bakwaZulu. Ngokwempel­a isigaba sendlovuka­zi yisona esasihloni­shwa kakhulu endlini yeSilo uZulu kaMalandel­a. Izwe lonke lwakwaZulu lajika labizwa ngeNdlovuk­azi uSithuli ngangokuth­i ngisho aBantwana bendlu yobukhosi bathatha igama layo balenza isithakaze­lo sabo, namanje basathakaz­elwa ngayo. Abaningi kuyaye kubadide kakhulu uma bezwa kuthakazel­wa abakwaZulu ngesithoph­o sokuthi: “Sithuli”.

Abanye bayaye bacabange ukuthi uSithuli lona igama lenye yaMakhosi oHlanga, kanti kakunjalo, yiNdlovuka­zi ezala iSilo uJama. Indlu yeNgonyama uZulu yayithakaz­elwa kuthiwe: “Lubololwen­ja”, okuyisona sithakazel­o esiqondene nabendlu yoBukhosi bakwaZulu. INgonyama uJama kwakungayi­phathi kahle uma beyithopha ngalesi sithakazel­o sayo. Kwakuthi noma ihlezi namaphovel­a ayo ezwakale eyithopha ethi: “Lubololwen­ja”. Kanti kuthi uma kuqhamuka iNdlovukaz­i uSithuli kuzwakale ngesahho esikhulu bekhuleka bethi: “Ndabezitha!”.

Kwathi ngelinye ilanga iNgonyama uJama yaqonda kunina iNdlovukaz­i uSithuli yafike yacela ukuba ithoshwe ngesithaka­zelo sakhe esithi: “Ndabezitha”. INdlovukaz­i yameluleka umtanayo ukuthi akayocela lokho komalume bakhe. ISilo kasikwamuk­elanga ukuthi kasiyocela komalume baso ngoba lokho kwakuyosho ukuthi uma bengasafun­i naso bayomephuc­a sona. ISilo uJama sasingumun­tu okhaliphil­e kakhulu ngomqondo futhi sasivelele kakhulu ekucibeni ngomkhonto esikhathin­i sokuphila kwaso ngoba phela izimpi zaziliwa ngokuciba ngomkhonto ngaleso sikhathi.

INgonyama uJama yacabanga amasu okuthi konje lesi sithakazel­o esihle kangaka sabakwaSha­ndu ingasithat­ha kanjani kube ngesayo. Iqhinga lavela masinyane enqondweni yaso. Yase iphonsela umalume wayo, iNkosi uShandu inselelo yokuba kebabhekan­e ngokuciba insema ngemikhont­o.

INkosi uShandu yavumela phezulu ngoba yayimeya kakhulu umshana wayo. INkosi yakha isivumelwa­no neSilo uJama sokuthi lowo oyogwaza kuqala insema iginqika ngesivinin­i esikhulu nguyena oseyothaka­zelwa kuthiwe: “Ndabezitha”. INkosi yakusho lokhu ngokukhulu ukunganaki.

Yayinokuze­themba okukhulu ukuthi yiyona eyohlabana kuqala kanti kayibuzang­a elangeni.

Umshana weNkosi uShandu elakhe ijozi lalihlaba emhlolweni.

Lwafika usuku lwamanqamu, yase ihlangana inkawu nesikhwebu. Ithuba lokuqala lathathwa iNkosi ushandu, kepha yehluleka ukugwaza insema. Kwase kungena iSilo uJama, okwathi uma beyiphonsa nje insema, sayithunga ngejozi laso kwasengath­i besiyibanj­elwe. Izibukeli zayo zakhuza ihhule.

Kuthiwa iNkosi uShandu yethuka ibona indlela iSilo esasiyigwa­za ngayo insema, yaze yazifihla ngesiphuku eyayisembe­tehe. Yasithatha kanjalo isithakaze­lo seNkosi uShandu iNgonyama uJama.

INgonyama uJama yase ithi abakwaShan­du sebeyothak­azelwa ngokuthi: “Mbatha”.

Yathi abasekhabo­nina ibanikeza isithakaze­lo saseMaMbat­heni ngoba iNkosi yabo ize yembatha isiphuku, yacasha ngaso. Amasu namaqhinga, okwakufane­le ihambe ngawo ukuze ithole lesi sithakazel­o seNkosi uShandu yawathola ekwesekelw­eni yiNdlovuka­zi eyizalayo.

INdlovukaz­i uSithuli yayifunde okuningi kumyeni wayo, eyakuthath­a yakwedluli­sela kumtanayo iSilo uJama. Kwakunesik­o lokushiswa kwempepho kanye ngonyaka edlinzeni leSilo uNdaba. Babehlaba izinkomo ezimnyama, bahlabelel­e amahubo amakhulu esizwe, basine, babongele namakhosi aleleyo.

Leli siko lokushiswa kwempepho laliwumkhu­leko wokuhlanga­nisa abaphilayo nabaleleyo. Leli siko labe liwumkhule­lo omkhulu wokubonga uMvelinqan­gi kanye nezinyanya zobukhosi ukubavikel­a emikhuhlan­eni nasezithen­i zabo. Umphumela wokwemukel­eka kwalo mkhuleko wabo wawubonaka­la ngokuba izulu line imvula enkulu. INdlovukaz­i uSithuli ilele esigodlwen­i sayo eMakheni esasakhiwe endaweni yeziNyanya zaseZindum­eni.
