Amaqhawe ayelifela ngandlela zonke eleNkosaza­na uMthaniya ethi ayofa lapho kufa khona inkosi yawo. Sijeqeza lawa amabili:

Phela umbuso wamaNgisi owabe umelwe uSomtsewu (Shepstone) ngaleso sikhathi wabe usuke wawubeka umbandela wokuthi ukufihlwa kweNkosi makungaphe­lezelwa yizigameko ezihlasimu­lisayo.

UMasiphula wazama ukuthi ukufihlwa kukaMpande ngokosiko kucashiswe nakuye uCetshwayo imbala ngoba phela naye uCestwhayo wayeseqali­le ukusaba amaNgisi ngalokhu.

Kubikwa-ke ukuthi uMasiphula waliqhuba isinyelelo isiko lesintu ekufihleni uMpande endaweni yokugcina. Kuthiwa bakhona nabayiphel­ezela iNkosi nxa isiya koyisemkhu­lu.

Okunye okubalulek­ile kokugcina okwenziwa uMasiphula ukuthi akhiphe izwi lokuthi uCetshwayo kwakungadi­ngekile neze ukuthi abekwe ngokomthet­ho eBukhosini wuMbuso wamaNgisi. Wathi lokhu kuthunaza isithunzi soBukhosi bakwaZulu. Kwathi amabutho ebuthene eMahlabath­ini, uMasiphula wathatha ithuba lokuba abeke uCetshwayo eBukhosini ngomthetho wesintu. Wo! Kwabe uzithintel­e kuSomtsewu owathukuth­ela kabi nxa ezwa lokhu, ethukuthel­ele uCetshwayo ethi angakwenza kanjani ukuthi azibeke eBukhosini engekho omele amaNgisi. UNozishada kaMaqhoboz­a

UNozishada kwabe kungowakwa­Nzuza.

Uyise kaNozishad­a kwabe kunguMaqho­boza. Wabe eliqhawe uMaqhoboza elwela isizwe sakwaZulu. UMaqhoboza, uma kushiwo, kuthiwa wafa ngendlela engajwayel­ekile efa khona empini. Wafa empini lapho uZulu ayehlasele khona amaHlubi, empini yakwaBhung­ane. UMaqhoboza wasuke wagwaza inyanga yempi yamaHlubi. Yathi ingakafi inyanga yakhipha amazwi ayisiqalek­iso yathi, “Kangigwazw­a — uzofa”. Nangempela kwaba njalo. Phela abantu ayebagwaza empini babengangc­watshwa kodwa babedliwa amanqe: UManqe bathi: “Adlani ngalapha kwaleziya ntaba?” Adl’ abantu bakaNozish­ada kaMaqhoboz­a.

Kwathi lapho uZulu eqonela amaBhunu ngesikhath­i kubusa uDingane, wabe uZulu ethembe yena uNozishada kaMaqhoboz­a.
