SAIDS Medication Check

Bicycling (South Africa) - - Gear Of The Year -

Are you drugfree? Most of the time, most of us don’t worry too much about the medication we take. Or if we do, then we rely on how-to advice from a medical professional. This isn't always practical, especially when you’re wandering down the aisle of a pharmacy with snot seeping out of your pores. Drug Free Sport SA (SAIDS) have created a helpful app that can crossreference over 3 000 listed medications. The list is in line with the Medicine Control Council of SA, and updated against WADA's prohibited substances list. Searches can be filtered according to different substances and sporting codes. Searching is easy – just enter a medication name, and the results will instantly show you if the medication contains any banned substances. The app can be installed by creating a shortcut on your screen to the SAIDS medication app on their site.
