TREK MADONE SL 6
TThis might be the cheapest (it’s all relative) aero bike in our line-up, but that doesn’t make it any less gorgeous.
The price is kept in check with a standard stem and aero bar, rim brakes (neatly hidden away), and standard Shimano Ultegra (not Di2). The non-integrated cockpit elements might actually be a bonus – you can adjust your ride position easily, and you can fit aero bars for time trials and triathlons. Another interesting piece of tech is Trek’s IsoSpeed Decoupler, which allows the seat tube to move independently of the top-tube/seatstay junction. This smooths out the road and gives your bum a break on long rides. Carbon wheels are standard, and they’re tubeless ready.
