RONDO RUUT AL

- R34 950 RONDO-BIKES.CO.ZA – JM

Rondo is a Polish bike company, and the RUUT is the most versatile model in their range. There are carbon versions, but this alloy RUUT offers great value for money.

It’s a funky bike that exudes style and attention to detail: the wine-coloured paint job is fetching, and there are discreet mounts for racks and mudguards.

But the secret weapon is the carbon TwinTip fork, which has a chip at the dropout that you can flip to either steepen or slacken the head angle. A steeper head angle puts you in a more race-focused riding position, and the handling is more responsive. With a slacker head angle, you have more stability on rough terrain, and a more upright riding position for comfort over distance. Go fast or go long. You choose!

The other stuff is all good: a 1x drivetrain, hydraulic disc brakes, tubeless rims and Panaracer GravelKing tyres – super all-round tyres for a mix of tar and gravel riding.
