Ford Kuga gets new ST-Line pack
Ford Motor Company has announced adjustments to its existing Ford Kuga SUV line-up in SA.
The revisions see the Titanium specification dropped in favour of the new ST-Line for the pair of range-topping 2.0l EcoBoost and TDCi models. STLine is identified by a high-gloss Ebony Black front grille integrated with a honeycomb design for the lower portion of the grille.
There’s also a colour-coded body kit with front skid plate, side skirts, mirrors, door handles, rear spoiler and wheel arches, Ebony Black rear diffuser, black roof rails, tinted front and rear lights and privacy glass for the rear windows.
ST-Line also features chassis enhancements for better handling thanks to thicker antiroll bars, a 10mm drop in ride height and stiffer suspension bushes.
The 2.0 TDCi produces 132kW and 400Nm channelled through an All Wheel Drive system and six-speed PowerShift Automatic gearbox. The rangetopper is the 177kW and 340Nm 2.0 EcoBoost ST-Line and boasts an AWD system and a six-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
Doreen Mashinini, GM, marketing at FMCSA, says: “At the pinnacle of the range, the stunning new ST-Line gives the Kuga the eye-catching design and dynamic flair to match the superb performance of the 2.0litre petrol and diesel models.”
