Cement sales volumes up 7%

Cement sales volumes rose by 7% year on year to 2,915,120 tons in the second quarter of 2012 after a 6.7% year-on-year increase to 2,637,349 tons in the first quarter of 2012, data released by the Cement and Concrete Institute (C&CI) yesterday showed. This compared with a 3.3% rise last year and a 7.8% fall in 2010.
