Cop decries lack of co-operation

The Western Cape social development department has been identified by provincial police commissioner Arno Lamoer as the least cooperative of all provincial departments in the fight against crime. This lack of co-operation was “especially worrying considering the increasing incidence of sexual offences committed against the very young and very old”.
