Colombian president to undergo surgery

Colombian President Juan Manuel Santos was admitted to a Bogota hospital yesterday for surgery to have a tumour removed from his prostate. Mr Santos is the latest in a line of Latin leaders to undergo cancer treatment. In Brazil, Dilma Rousseff and her predecessor Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva have undergone treatment. So did Paraguay’s former president Fernando Lugo, and Venezuela’s Hugo Chavez.
