Mugabe police escort in accident

A police officer in President Robert Mugabe’s escort was killed yesterday in a collision with a lorry, at least the fourth accident this year involving the veteran leader’s motorcade, police said. Police spokeswoman Charity Charamba could not confirm whether Mr Mugabe was travelling in the motorcade, but said the accident happened in the Harare suburb of Borrowdale.
