Airport opens extension

The German airport’s new Pier A-Plus — the 800m expansion of terminal 1 — has opened on schedule after about four years of construction. Flights begin on October 10 at the new pier, allowing the country’s biggest hub to serve up to 6-million extra passengers per year— a total of about 65-million passengers per year.
