Volvo to close Sweden bus plant

Volvo, the world’s second-largest truck maker, will close its bus production in Sweden, reducing staff by about 390 workers and consultants in reaction to weak European demand. Volvo plans to end bus making in Saeffle by next June, and will consolidate the business in Europe to its main plant in Wroclaw, Poland, the company said yesterday.
