Boutique hotel on Vaal for deserved weekend breaks
A VAAL Marina-based boutique hotel will be coming to market on Tuesday.
Located at 587 Kob Street on the corner of Kreef Street, Vaalnest Boutique Hotel occupies an area measuring just over 5,300m² and features 12 luxuriously appointed suites overlooking the Vaal Dam.
Additional features include a well-appointed dining area and kitchen, an intimate lounge with feature fireplace, a viewing deck, infinity pool, a large function room, secure undercover guest parking, a staff room with en-suite bathroom, and a laundry.
Improvements include additional partially constructed guest rooms and conference facilities.
According to Jaco du Toit of Park Village Auctions, the hotel has been well maintained and is perfectly positioned to cater to guests seeking a convenient weekend break from the rat race or companies seeking tranquil conferencing facilities not far from Johannesburg.
Swimming, bird-watching, golf and water sports are just some of the activities guests can indulge in when visiting the area.
The hotel will be auctioned on site at 11am.
Park Village Auctions’s trucks and capital goods sales have become essential for bidders like heavyweight transport operators and small business entrepreneurs who find value in the lots offered, says Keith Green of the Durban branch.
The next auction of this nature will take place on Thursday at Storage Solutions, Khosi Place in Umgeni Business Park, Durban.
Truck tractors to go on sale include two Nissan UD 460s, four Nissan UD 440s, two Colbolt elevating low-bed trailers, and various Moto trail links and Kearsney tri-axles.
SA Truck Bodies, Hendred, Afrit, Motor Trail, flat deck link trailers, skeletal and curtain side trailers make up the trailer stock for sale.
Says Mr Green: “Given the nature of the inventory, we expect a good turnout come auction day, especially in the wake of the recent petrol price hike and the threat of another, which is forcing transport entities in particular to tighten their belts once again.”
The assets can be viewed on Wednesday from 10am to 4pm. The auction will start at 10.30am on Thursday. Meanwhile, a large collection
manufacturing equipment
of from a drum manufacturer will soon hit the auction floor of Park Village Auctions.
The firm’s LeRoy Augustyn reckons the auction will appeal not only to drum making entities but to a broad range of manufacturers given how the assets to be auctioned can be used across a variety of industrial platforms.
Included among the assets is a new shot blast machine complete with dust extractor, a filter and bagging system, a lid shot blast machine, an Avelin Bradford 3.3ton coal-fired horizontal boiler, an MVA transformer, a gas-fired furnace complete with afterburner and extractor system, and a gas-fired 470 chain conveyor baking oven.
Other items that will also go to the highest bidder on the day of the auction include: a fully automated closed drum cleaning tunnel triple-lane conveyor; five stage wash, final stage hot air dryer and full temperature control; a 20m long chain conveyor drying oven; and a three-stage, four-spout internal rust remover complete with acid tanks, pumps, extractors and vacuum section.

Mr Augustyn says the auction will be a happy hunting ground for bidders out for bargains. They will find plenty of quality stock in good condition.
