Average ATM withdrawals up 5%

The average cash withdrawal at ATMs rose 4.8% to R465 in March, fuelled by public, religious and school holidays during the month, the Spark cash index showed yesterday. Spark ATM Systems operations manager Ryan Tzamtzis said the jump in March was the second-highest average withdrawal value yet recorded by the index.
