Anglo mine resumes work after fatality

AngloGold Ashanti, the world’s third-largest producer of the metal, said it was resuming normal operations at is Mponeng mine, shut for more than a week after a worker was killed and two others injured in a groundfall accident. The Department of Mineral Resources stopped operations on March 28, but had lifted the suspension, a spokesman said yesterday.
