Absa hires investment chiefs

Absa Group, which is controlled by Barclays, has hired Jason Barrass and Theunie Lategan to strengthen its corporate and investment-banking operations. Mr Barrass becomes Africa head of trade for the investmentbanking arm, Absa Capital. Mr Lategan becomes vice-chairman of corporate banking.
