Zuma tells Parliament troops are out of CAR

President Jacob Zuma has informed Parliament of the withdrawal of SA’s soldiers from the Central African Republic (CAR), Presidency spokesman Mac Maharaj said yesterday. “The president informed Parliament the terminatio­n has been undertaken due to the fact that the situation in the CAR has deteriorat­ed and there is no legitimate government. The president has in terms of Section 201 (2) (c) of the Constituti­on of the Republic, terminated the employment of members of the South African National Defence Force in the Central African Republic.”
