Disciplinary measures ‘laughable’

The Independent Police Investigative Directorate has called for tougher internal censure of police officers found guilty of corruption, torture and causing the death of suspects in their custody. Addressing a seminar on police brutality, directorate spokesman Moses Dlamini said the police’s disciplinary measures and punishments were laughable.
