Deutsche Telekom sweetens deal

Deutsche Telekom has sweetened the debt terms of an October proposal to merge its TMobile USA unit with MetroPCS Communications. In what it called a “best and final offer”, Deutsche Telekom on Wednesday cut the amount of debt it is imposing on the combined company by $3.8bn and lowered the interest rate it would charge on the loan by half a percentage point.
