West coast lobster ‘endangered’

The World Wide Fund for Nature’s Southern African Sustainable Seafood Initiative has downgraded west coast rock lobster from its green (sustainable) to its orange (think twice before purchasing) list, which would affect the export market, Democratic Alliance spokesman Pieter van Dalen said yesterday. Mr van Dalen said the move came as “no surprise”.
