Taliban pick deputy commander

Pakistani Taliban militants have chose Khan Said as the new deputy commander, sources in the group said yesterday. He replaces the previous second-in-command, Wali-ur-Rehman, who was killed in a US drone strike on Wednesday in the militant stronghold of the North Waziristan region, on Pakistan’s northwest border with Afghanistan.
