Strikes disrupt Glencore Xstrata

Glencore Xstrata said production at three chrome sites in SA was disrupted by wildcat strikes that started on Tuesday. About 200 workers at the Helena mine in the Bushveld Complex downed tools, and the strike spread to the Magareng and Thorncliffe operations, the company said yesterday. The strike started after a worker accused a supervisor of assault.
