Invalid matric: colonel resigns

A KwaZulu-Natal police spokesman has resigned amid allegations that he has an invalid matric certificate, the SA Police Service (SAPS) said yesterday. Col Jay Naicker said the allegations against Col Vincent Mdunge, who was based at provincial headquarters, surfaced when the criminal and academic records of SAPS employees were checked.
